Palm Beef Pendulum Clock

An amusing piece of Kiwiana/Pasifika. Made from a Palm Beef Corned beef can. Magnets hold the lid in place & facilitate easy removal. The pendulum is an old-fashioned can opener! Black plastic hands with a red minute hand.

In my workshop in Browns Bay I manipulate found, recycled, & salvaged materials to create a diverse body of work - including sculptural pieces & contemporary fashion accessories.
Through the objects I produce I endeavour to draw attention to the importance of waste minimization & recycling, &, hopefully, to inspire people to take management of, & responsibility for, their environmental impact.
Public display of recycled art & jewellery gives each of us a vehicle for self-expresion: making a statement of our preference for sustainable ways of being in the world.
