Stingray Brooch

I am particularly pleased with the design of this brooch.  I came to it by playing around with a ruler and a compass, seeking a resolved form with a balance of positive and negative space, and colour and non-colour. It ended up with a stingray-ish shape, but it also references a pacifica bird motif and a Viking axe, both of which are relevant to the person who now wears it.
