Thrown & altered porcelain dish, wood & soda fired 2011

 Thrown & altered dish -wood & soda fired.  I have been making & refining work  of  this ilke over a period of fifteen years. During this time I have used a variety of clays from terracotta to porcelain and firing methods including gas, woodfired with australia hard wood and pine  &  soda fired in a phoenix fast fire in Hamilton-(as this piece was)while my forms are  unique they are totally functionally and are fanstastic addition to any table.  The most subtle of flashing on the flatter side is truely inspiring
