- Jan Lorraine
Artist Biography
Looking at Jan Lorraine’s quirky figurative ceramic pieces and her etheral richly coloured paintings it is obvious she has love of the human form as well as an interestingly curious view of life.
“I use what I see around me for inspiration; the people I meet, the stories I hear. I am absolutely facinated by human beings; how they walk, behave, dress, and interact with each other”.
Lorraine’s main subjects are women and her ceramic figurines are adorned with nail polish, lipstick, and wacky hair dos and exaggerated in their forms. Easily recognisable her work is an expression of the joys of being alive.Training
2000. Diploma of Applied Art-Visual. Northtec.
