In the last three years I have been NZ Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2007 and Runner Up NZ Wedding Photographer of the Year for 2006 and 2008.

In 2001, 3 years after I became a photographer, I realised that Northland wasn't a marketplace that could sustain the level where I wanted my photography to be at. So, consequently, I began marketing myself as an Auckland photographer, not charging for the travel to anywhere in the Auckland region. Through word of mouth my business grew and every year I travel farther afield. I still don't charge for travel to Auckland as approximately 50% of my work is in Auckland. The rest is spread throughout NZ and overseas.

A lot of my clientelle are based offshore and I do not even meet them until just prior to their wedding day. As a result, trust and confidence play a big part in my business. A lot of clients find me by way of referral so delivering an exceptional product and service are key parts of my business.

Why should you trust me to capture the most precious moments of your wedding day?

There are only a handful of wedding photographers in NZ that perform consistently well at the national awards every year. I work hard to make sure I am one of them. I am lucky enough to call the others friends. I am a Master of Photography and a Fellow of the NZIPP. (New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography) This is a very special honour that only a small group of NZ photographers hold. I am also the current Wedding Director for the NZIPP. A position I am honoured to hold.

So, what makes me different from all the other wedding photographers out there?

I am strictly a wedding photographer. My time is devoted to being the very best I can be at this one thing. My style is unobtrusive most of the time, controlling and decisive when needed but always passionate about creating great images. I spend a lot of time in the off season researching locations and developing ideas that are unique to each couple and their wedding day. On the big day, the most important thing is allowing the bride and groom to relax within the chosen locations and then it’s a case of capturing those intimate moments as they happen.

One of the most enjoyable parts of the job for me is creating images that go beyond being wedding photo’s. I want people to enjoy these images as pieces of art. The day is about capturing the love and emotion between two people, but just as important are the details. Some couples have spent months, sometimes even years, figuring out exactly how they want their wedding day to look.

Everything needs to be captured with thought and care. Experience helps a lot too...

If you feel I may be the right photographer for you, I look forward to hearing from you.

I document weddings in Auckland and throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Tauranga, Taupo, Rotorua, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown, and the beautiful West Coast. I love to travel and see all the amazing places NZ has to offer.

I have had the pleasure of documenting weddings at some of New Zealand's most beautiful venues, including Mantells, The Mudbrick Vineyard, The Hilton, Pinot, Mission Estate, The Chateau, Treetops Lodge and Carrington Estate.

In addition to wedding coverage throughout New Zealand, I am an experienced destination wedding photographer, having photographed weddings in Italy, England, Australia and Fiji.
