Bedrooms
My aim is to question the norm of how we as a culture perceive the ritual of sleeping in a bedroom, inside a house. I am challenging these customs by taking the bedroom, a private space, out of the house into various public spaces. In each image the bedroom setting is moved to different recognisable locations around the Auckland area, linked by the same bedroom at each location. By challenging the norm of an everyday happening I hope that these set of images will provoke questioning into the act of sleeping in a bed, inside a house.
