The Moment in Time Series

Jacinda Boyd is a Freelance Photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand.

She completed a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications Photography at Unitec School of Design and Graduated in April 2000.

Jacinda has a natural style with photographing people in available light, with a good eye for anticipating and capturing the right moments.

Jacinda has a very strong understanding of natural lighting and how to use light creatively to convey mood and atmosphere. Her work shows a strong sense of space and environment. She is especially good at portraying the essence of places we inhabit.

Her work has a very documentary style and she prefers to capture life unfolding as opposed to staging elaborate set ups.

Jacinda's passion is with capturing people in a relaxed candid way. Along with a love of Music and is frequently out capturing bands playing in town.

Jacinda's work has appeared in Metro Magazine, Pulp Magazine, Up4it Magazine, Etch Magazine, About Kids Magazine and Little Treasures Magazine.

Alongside the editorial work Jacinda has taken on various commissions for companies such as Colenso BBO, OgilvyMetro, Auckland City Council, City Scene Newspaper, NZ snowboard.com and FTB Events.
