Craig Potton is one of New Zealand's leading contemporary photographers.  A committed conservationist Potton also co-owns New Zealand's leading independent book publishers, Craig Potton Publishing.  

Potton's commercial success, for example his top selling photography books on classic tramping routes of New Zealand, has tended to overshadow his reputation as a fine art photographer.  If any New Zealand photographer deserves a full retrospective exhibition of their work to be held in a major gallery it is Craig Potton.
