Mt Cook
2008, Mt Cook. This is one of 70+ paintings with around three a month still being produced.
Gordon Cooper started off as a Royal marine in the the bristish navy in world war two and survived several bombings. He then headed for the greener pastures of NZ and never looked back, hes always loved his wife, his painting and his bowls. His wife past away last year so he is going mad painting, painting and more painting, he is running out of room to store them all and asked if I could assist him in selling some off to retrace his material costs. he's sold the odd one here in there in his 30 years of painting and has donated many to various charitys in Auckland.
the other desperation to get some acknowledgement for him as great kiwi artist is that his eye sight is deteiorating, so his time left to paint is limited.
Each paining is framed 50cmx63cm and each painting within is 36.5cmx49cm
the web link below is to his online gallery where they sell printing rights and you can see this painting in greater detail.
