TRAILGAZERS series

These works form part of a new series of portraits by Kristy Griggs. Trailgazers is a premiere showcase of drawn portraits in pencil, charcoal, pastel and ink. Her exquisite use of technique and style serves to unveil the true character and intrepid spirit of some of today's most notable social pioneers. Having begun work as a full-time artist in 2009, Kristy has come into her own with this collection of 20+ pieces, which demonstrate a sense of perceptiveness and maturity that sets her aside as one of New Zealand’s most promising young artists.

Kristy invites you to this showing of new portraits at the Uxbridge Creative Centre from April 29 – May 18, 2011. Entry is free and Kristy will be present throughout the duration of the exhibition to give live demonstrations. Guests are encouraged to sign the visitors’ registry and are welcome to enquire about commissions.

In conjunction with Trailgazers, Kristy will also be giving a two-day workshop on Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 of June, 2011. Workshops run from 10am to 3pm. Please contact Uxbridge for more information.
