Link - Interactive Experience

Link plays with the virtual and actual experience. It consists of two parts. An interactive physical experience, where the participant creates an avatar, a visual representation of himself, with his/her voice and then modulates it by his/her movements in relations to others. His/her personal soundscape evolves accordingly. The second, the "Eden of avatars" is a virtual extension of the physical experience, where the avatars created by the users continue a virtual life and form a virtual network.

At the "Creation Desk"  the participant is invited to create an avatar, a visual representation of him/herself, modeling it with his/her voice sample. Once entered the "Playground" three people can simply modulate their respective distances, or play with each other, linking and unlinking themselves, through their avatars. The sound they ear, based on their voice sample, and will vary and get richer depending on their avatars activity.
At the exit the participant can find his/her own avatars, surviving for a while and extending the participant moving behavour in the "Eden of Avatars".

The experience is immersive but open, the participant is immerged in the light of the projection of his avatar who follows him like a shadow and interacts with his movements. The users wear wireless headphones (equiped with a light motion capture device) which allows them to move freely modulating their own soundscape (based on their vocal sample) and interacting with the other participants sending and receiving sounds particles. The personal experience rests open to the external world, since the avatars audiovisually interact with each other.

The "Eden of Avatars" is a virtual world populated by the avatars of former users. The avatars continue their lives, moving around and linking themselves with each other. Their features are those of their physical owners and their movements are moulded on the experience of their owner’s. The "Eden" remains only visual, the sound experience being personal and subjective, and so as limited to the physical experience.
