In The Name of Art - a short film by Mardo El Noor
‘In The Name of Art’ is a visually inventive short film of silhouettes and a world of artists. The narrative follows two artists' creation of the ultimate work of art for an art competition. Told as an oscillation between two worlds, we discover that what it takes to win an art award, often involves deception
Premiered at NZFF in July 2009, & to be screened at the prestigious 42nd SITGES Film Festival (Spain) & 14th Milano Film Festival (Italy), this is my first attempt at narrative in animated short film form.
