The Odd Sock Thief

Sam Greene has lost four socks in two weeks. Find them, his mother says, or it comes out of your pocket money.

So Sam searches high and low - in the garage, his room, even the dog kennel. To no avail.

That afternoon, his mother, Claire, asks him to pick some silverbeet from the garden for dinner. There, Sam finds out the odd sock thief is a cheeky leprechaun (Snuff); and that he took the socks to keep the feet of his dragon, Zoot, warm. Furthermore, he won't give them back until Sam admits magic is real.
