2009 marks twenty years since the fall of the wall. The German Film Festival brought twenty films from the past two decades to cinemagoers in New Zealand, 19 000 kilometres away. 20 years and 20 films – entertaining and thrilling and at the same time witnesses to the momentous historic change after the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
Simon Morris has asked Andreas Dresen and Christian Schwochoch about what they were doing the night the Berlin Wall came down.
