The Toy Sorcerer

The Toy Sorcerer

By Laura Frances

Synopsis

Alice Towers is drawn into an ancient conflict between the opposing paths of witchcraft. Her living soul is propelled into the Dream Realms; a dimension terrorised by a changeling beast, the Demon Lord Gremon, the creator of nightmare spawn.  Alice’s only chance of escape is to locate Magog the Sorcerer and walk the Path of the Ancient gods to beg for their release.  But the Gremon plans to stow away inside Alice’s soul on her return to Earth. Should he succeed in crossing the boundary between dimensions, he and his hideous spawn would be virtually insuperable. To pave the way for his arrival, he bids his creatures plague the dreams of mankind. The pressure of horrific nightmares and sleep deprivation begins to take its toll. Humanity teeters on the brink of insanity and total chaos.

In the physical dimension, Leona, the High Priestess of the Immortal Coven and her two familiars must protect Alice’s slumbering body until she is free to return. But Leona’s maleficent sister, Lillian, in league with the Gremon, raises hosts of Underworld demon shadows to battle for possession of Alice. Lillian unleashes her vile brood on the local community who are already losing their grip on sanity. Forced to try and protect the shell-shocked survivors from further attack, Leona’s powers are stretched to breaking point. Despite the valiant efforts of her familiars and her own warrior shadows, Leona is hugely outnumbered and Alice is captured. As the ancient Priestess risks her life to rescue Alice’s helpless body, the Demon of the Dream Realms hijacks the child’s soul and makes his escape to the physical dimension . . .
