 What an interesting three weeks this has been, I would like to thank everyone who commented on and visited the forum.  It has certainly given me a lot to think about, and I look forward to building on some of these ideas for how we fund the arts in the future.

One: Funding models & innovative funders

We are really interested in hearing about funding models and innovative funders operating in other parts of New Zealand and elsewhere in the world.

  • What funding body do you really rate?

    What funding body (that supports arts & culture) do you really rate? (Include web address) What has impressed you about them? What can we learn from them that would be useful to explore here?

  • What programmes, models or initiatives have made a difference?

    Thinking about your discipline area and / or field, what creative development programmes, professional support models and / or community development initiatives have really made a big difference? Why? Think of examples drawn from anywhere in the world.

    How relevant are your examples from other places to arts & cultural development in the Auckland / Northland regions?

As ASB Community Trust has a strong long-term commitment to the arts of the Auckland & Northland regions, we’re keen to ‘see’ your future-picture for the arts in the year 2020.

  • What do you see in 2020?

    In your picture of the arts in 2020, what is the state of the ecology / environment that supports you as an arts practitioner, producer or organisation? What is the same as now (2009)? What has significantly changed?

  • If you had $1million?

    If you had $1m to distribute to the arts sector in the Northland and Auckland regions to support the growth and development of the arts, what would you do?
