The Big Idea simply would not exist without the financial support it receives from the ASB Community Trust, the Auckland City Council, Andrew & Jenny Smith, Connells Bay Sculpture Trust, Creative New Zealand, SKYCITY Auckland Community Trust and The Biz Dojo [our new home].

Their generosity augments the income that we generate through TBI Assist and the contracts managed by this consultancy service. The profit from those contracts is directly invested back into funding the website.

ASB Community Trust


ASB Community Trust is an independent grant-making organisation serving the Auckland and Northland communities. With funding from its investment income, the Trust grants around $45 million a year to not-for-profit groups in the region. Incorporated societies or registered charitable trusts can apply for funds, provided they are a not-for-profit organisation working for community good.

Auckland Council


Auckland Council is the local government body responsible for Auckland city’s well-being, development and maintenance. In addition to managing day-today needs like rubbish collection, footpaths and storm water services, the council also works hard to support the economic development of the city and provide a supportive, active environment for people working and living in the city.

Connells Bay


John and Jo Gow, along with Andrew and Jenny Smith have kept an interested eye on The Big Idea and its progress. When it came to rebuilding The Big Idea website they all decided this was an important project for the creative sector and for the organisations and practitioners in it. Patrons of the arts themselves, they are committed in their support for the creative sector.

Auckland Tourism, Events & Economic Development [ATEED]is a council-controlled organisation, which will help lift the Auckland region's economic wellbeing, and support and enhance the ability of the region to compete internationally.
