Inside Work: A New Year

Given it is the holidays and you are probably celebrating [possibly too much] we know your thoughts will turn to working - eventually.

The New Year is the perfect time to start short-listing some jobs and opportunities and sharpen up that resume.

To help you out we thought we'd show you how to filter listings in WORK on The Big Idea.

Narrow down search display

You do this by 'unfolding' the narrow down this list option on the page [see the image above]. Then just choose some or, all,  of the following:

  • Creative discipline
  • Region
  • Work Category
  • Work Type
  • Work Classification
  • Paid or Unpaid

Then just submit and the site will search through the work listings and make a list of the opportunities that meet your criteria.

If this seems too complicated we've built some popular filters for you.

If you only want to look at paid jobs - you should save this filter [don't be put off by the long url]. Or maybe you're interested in auditions or calls for proposals.

If you just want jobs in a particular part of the country or world then, using narrow down the list, choose your region[s], set all the other criteria to 'all' and then click 'submit'.

Or if you just want jobs in a particular creative discipline - maybe dance then, using narrow down the list, choose your creative discipline[s] [I'd also choose festivals and maybe even theatre], set all the other criteria to 'all' and then click 'submit'. Now you get the gist of it, you can build your own filters and see what pops up.

Hope you get to have a holiday - Inside Work will return later in January.
