Inside Work: Spread your wings

Here are some more ways to find job opportunities offshore if you want to spread your wings. This time we take a closer look at Germany, Canada and Sweden.

If you want to work in Germany, have a look at JobStairs, DesignSpotter and Young Germany. In case you speak German, the 'Kulturmanagement Network' site is really good and offers the best variety of jobs and opportunities. There is an english version, but it does not contain jobs. There is also 'Portal Kunstgeschichte', which is solely in German as well. Here is some information on immigrating to Germany.

Canada offers lots of interesting opportunities. MediaJobSearch could be worth having a look at, same as the Canadian Council for the Arts and the Cultural Careers Council. Again there's the immigration requirement - here's a place to start.

Sweden is another great place to live and work. Culturenet Sweden is the virtual gateway to all Swedish cultural life. The Swedish Industrial Design Foundation looks interesting as well. Here is a forum solely in Swedish which focuses on arts and businesses. Visa and eligibility information should be checked before you begin looking for job. This site from the Swedish Government is a good start.
