Inside Work: Mixed Bag

Who isn’t fond of a mixed bag of goodies? For this week's Inside Work we’re focusing on a variety of big, small, permanent and part-time positions from around the country in the creative sector.

• Objectspace gallery assistant - Objectspace is a small dedicated centre with a national and international profile and is recruiting for a part-time position, the Objectspace Gallery Assistant, to work alongside the Programme Coordinator. Objectspace aims to position making - principally in the fields of craft, applied arts and design - within a range of cultural, economic and social frameworks in order to provoke new assessments about the making, functioning and value of works and practices.


• Fashion-world insiders - Fashion Focus, an Auckland-based company currently conducting some market research about fashion retail in New Zealand. In particular, we are focusing on boutique fashion retail, and stores featuring multiple high-end brands.


• Wardrobe manager for short film - Alpha Bristol Films is seeking an experienced, confident and savvy wardrobe manager (ideally with an understanding of the Canterbury boy racer sub culture) to source costumes and dress the four actors on location.


• Composer in residence - Auckland Youth Orchestra is seeking expressions of interest for the position of its Composer in Residence for the 2011 season.


• Kids experience host - Wellington Museums has an exciting opportunity to work in a leading museum, within the Visitor Services Team to ensure a seamless Museum experience for visitors. The Children’s Experience Host will work in a team environment and deliver themed children’s birthday parties.


• Curator of Archives - North Otago Museum houses both the archives of the Waitaki District Council and the archival collection of the local district. The person we are seeking will have relevant experience in the management and care of archives and enjoy supporting the research of others.
