Studio Space Available in dynamic setting

Do you need a space to create your art?  Are you looking for a relaxing and peaceful environment to work in?  This is the place you may be what you are looking for…

We currently have two studios available.

Studio 3: A medium sizes studio in a sunny spot at the Quarry. This studio has just been repainted to make a nice, tidy workspace. It has a painted earthen floor and large 'steps' at the back of the room perfect for a eye catch display of your work for visitors to the Quarry to see.

Studio 9: This is one of the larger studios we have at the Quarry. It has a quirky atmosphere and offers a light large space for artist to work from.

We are accepting applications for bother studios now and invite artist of all disciplines to apply. At present we currently have carvers, mosaic artist, painters, script writers, poets, photographer and wood workers.

Nestled into the bush clad Western Hills Drive is a little piece of paradise, a haven nurturing the creative spirit know as The Quarry Art Centre.

Open to the public 7 days a week, The Quarry Arts Centre (TQAC) and Yvonne Rust Gallery is only 5 minutes walk to the city but you feel as though your miles away. As well as public being able to wander around and see what our resident artists are up to, we run a variety of courses throughout the year for adults and kids.

There is a co-op shop to purchase quality arts and crafts at affordable prices and a coffee shop on site. We sell art supplies(including clay) in the NCT office from Mon- Fri. TQAC is the perfect place to come and get away from the hustle and bustle and get some artistic inspiration while you’re here.

The Quarry Arts Centre is a community based arts organisation with a long history of successful artist development, best practice and a focus on equity and participation.
