A unique professional development opportunity is now available at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery.

Supported by Creative New Zealand, the Darcy Lange Intern will support the Gallery’s Curator Mercedes Vicente by fully cataloguing the Darcy Lange Archive, comprising the artist’s personal documents and correspondence, books, drawings, negatives and prints of photographs, slides and video.

Darcy Lange (1946-2005) was an experimental New Zealand video artist.

The three month Darcy Lange internship will be available from September 2011, and applications are welcome from aspiring art museum professionals with qualifications and experience in collection management, museum studies or library science. Knowledge of moving image is preferable.

A stipend of $500 per week is available with an accommodation allowance also provided.
