Toi Poneke Arts Centre is looking for a dynamic and experienced person to join the team as Manager.
Toi Poneke Arts Centre is located in two buildings on Abel Smith Street in Central Wellington. The centre is a supportive environment for emerging Wellington artists, offering artist studios, office spaces and rooms for rent. There is also a gallery, and the Hub – an arts resource area for information, conversation and networking.
About the role:
As the Manager you will be responsible for ensuring facilities and services are aligned with Council’s arts and culture strategy. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the facilities to ensure they are run smoothly, well presented, and the environment is productive, creative and supportive to the Toi Poneke community of artists, practitioners, organisations and visitors. You will also develop and implement business plans to ensure long term sustainability of the centre.
To be successful in this role your will have:
- A relevant degree or qualification
- Experience in leading and managing a small team of staff and volunteers
- Demonstrated facility management and marketing experience
- Significant experience with budget and financial management.
- Previous experience in arts administration and networks within the artistic community.
