Job description: 

We are recruiting for a Security Shift Leader who has worked in an in-house 24-hour, 7 day a week rostered environment to join our security team. The security team is responsible for providing the highest level of security for our people, our nation’s collections, exhibitions and facilities.

You will have:

  • Experience as a senior member of a security team
  • Competence in computer-based packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, CCTV operation, access control and other technical based applications, or the ability to learn these.
  • A full, clean drivers licence, and ideally a current first aid certificate
  • You must be able to demonstrate flexibility, sensitivity, tact and a commitment to working in a bicultural environment.

The nature of the security work necessitates some walking and standing and therefore requires that you have a good standard of physical fitness. You will be a reliable, innovative, self-motivated team player, with the ability to multi-task and maintain a high standard of personal presentation.

If you have or are working towards your Level 2 and 3 NZQA Security qualifications this would be advantageous but not essential. All applicants will be subject to a security clearance check and any appointment will be subject to this provision.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
