We are looking for an operational and administrative expert who can deliver outstanding customer service to join our new team.

Part of the Arts and Culture South unit, this position is one of the key roles at the Mangere Arts Centre - Nga Tohu o Uenuku, a new community arts facility within Auckland Council. This position exists to provide efficient operational and administrative support in the day to day running and promotion of the Mangere Arts Centre, to be delivered in a hands-on, creative and professional manner, together with excellent service for both internal and external customers.

The vision of the Mangere Arts Centre - Nga Tohu o Uenuku is to make an impact on Mangere and the wider arts community, building towards a strong and loyal audience following and a long-term reputation.

The successful candidate will manage box office (ticketing) and front of house services for the theatre with an opportunity to branch out into audience development and/or marketing areas. This individual will be responsible for leading and mentoring the customer support team and will ensure customer service excellence across the facility and a wide range of events. This role will be responsible for providing operational and business support to managers, including managing aspects of the retail area, reception area and office areas.

Helping to make the arts centre "tick" will be an integral part of the job - whether it's hosting an exhibition opening in the gallery or ticketing for the theatre.

The successful candidate will play a key role in procurement, financial, administrative, booking and ticketing processes. You will manage the performance and professional development of customer support staff. The role will also involve maintaining effective relationships with internal and external providers, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver positive and sustainable outcomes.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must have 3-5 years proven administration experience including office management and proficient computer skills. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a personal interest in the performing arts who can demonstrate their effective leadership skills.
