Gallery Administrator
This is an interesting and challenging part-time position (25 hrs per week), working out of the Gallery at Shed 11, Customhouse Quay, Wellington.
The position will be for an initial period of two years.
We are looking for a person who has the following qualities:
• Sound administrative skills
• Good communication skills
• Must be accurate, and competent in the Microsoft Office Suite of programmes
• Ability to work independently in the Gallery
• Willingness to take responsibility for a variety of tasks
It would be an advantage if the Administrator was a qualified museum/gallery Registrar with a good knowledge of art history, particularly New Zealand art history.
Some after hours work may be required, particularly at Exhibition openings, for which time-off-in-lieu would be negotiated.
