PUBLIC PROGRAMMES TEAM LEADER

 

Hawke's Bay Museum & Art Gallery, Napier, is one of New Zealand's leading museums and art galleries with a national reputation for distinctive exhibitions in the fields of twentieth century art, design art and architecture.  We are seeking a dynamic, innovative person to join our organisation as Public Programmes Team Leader at what is an exciting period in our development.

 

The Public Programmes Team Leader is responsible for leading all aspects of the exhibition programme and associated events, including the education programme, at the Hawke's Bay Museum & Art Gallery. This person is responsible for both the curatorial and education staff. We are looking for a senior curator, or public programmes manager, with a clear understanding of the unique profile of this institution and its potential for development.

 

This is an opportunity to attain a key arts sector position, based in the heart of Napier, with all the advantages of the Hawke’s Bay lifestyle at your doorstep.

 

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate ability in team leadership and in project management.

    The Hawke's Bay Museum & Art Gallery is now closed order to undertake a significant redevelopment project.

    Home to Hawke's Bay's great treasures: Hawke's Bay Museum & Art Gallery is a place of stories, heritage, art and artefacts - a place where visitors can explore New Zealand's vibrant art and cultural history.

    The redevelopment project will repackage the exterior to match the wealth within. Our doors will reopen in 2013.
