Our community performing arts organization is seeking an inspired leader.
For over 20 years The Performing Arts School of NZ has provided Auckland’s highly regarded recreational and pre-vocational courses in dance, acting, singing and circus arts from custom built premises at the Auckland Performing Arts Centre (TAPAC)
We are looking for a person whose genuine passion for arts education will enable the school to continue to grow and develop its reputable brand. As Director, you will report to the Board and will be responsible for the artistic, strategic, operational and financial direction of the school.
The successful applicant will have proven organizational skills, a thorough knowledge of at least one performing arts genre, be well networked in the industry and have a sound understanding of marketing.
You will lead a large team of professional freelance tutors, work with a competent administrative team and liase with the Founding Partners of TAPAC.

Experience as a performing arts practitioner or educator with an ability to motivate and inspire an artistic team.
Experience in a leadership role both from a strategic and operational point of view
Strong organization and producing skills.
Knowledge of financial management and planning
