The PANNZ Performing Arts Market is New Zealand’s sole marketplace for the promotion of professional tour ready dance, theatre and music productions. It is also an important forum for connecting artists and presenters, debating the issues facing our industry and building capacity within our sector.
PANNZ is attended by festival directors, venue managers, artists, producers and industry stakeholders. The Market offers a professional but relaxed environment. The 2010 Market will be held in Wellington on March 1 and 2. Programme highlights include:
Pitch Sessions
Artist/Producers have 15 minutes to profile their work with audio visual support. This is a curated programme decided by selection panel.
Exhibition
Artist/Producers and Industry Organisations have the opportunity to showcase themselves on display tables and boards. Market catering is served in the Exhibition space ensuring high visibility of this area.
Breakfast of Bright Ideas NEW TO PANNZ
This new addition to the PANNZ Programme provides an opportunity for artists to introduce a new concept or work in development to a wider group. Presenters may identify projects to champion or just enjoy a fun and creative start to their day. Length of presentations will be 2 – 4 mins pending the number of submissions
Presenter Workshop
Regional New Zealand – a response to the CNZ Distribution Strategy.
This forum will support the Expressions Of Interest forms submitted at the end of the Market. Through discussion we hope to identify possible tours and consortia for some of the work pitched at the Market.
Producer Workshop
A forum to bring together Producers from across the nation to discuss issues that affect them and the new Producer resources currently under development by PANNZ.
