Otago Settlers Museum
As a member of the Otago Settlers Museum management team you will be working with one of New Zealand’s finest social history collections and actively involved in the Museum’s redevelopment project, due for completion in December 2012. Stage 1, the Museum’s new Collections Store was completed in November this year.
Your key responsibilities will be to manage the Museum’s collections team, volunteers and interns; develop and implement collection policy and procedure and ensure the safety and care of the Museum collections.
This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent collections manager who has a strategic approach and the ability to develop a collaborative team culture.
Applicant must have in-depth experience in managing staff and collections within a museum context and a relevant graduate qualification.
