Job description: 

We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals who would like to work within the History collection management and curatorial team. The role of an Assistant Collection Manager will be to assist the Collection Managers in the management of Te Papa's History collections, and the Pacific collection from time to time. 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following key attributes:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant subject or in Museum Studies, and/or experience in museum collections
  • The ability to work as part of a team environment
  • Good level of organisational and communication skills
  • Computer competency and ability in Ke Emu
  • A driver’s licence is essential
