Job description: 

The Quarry Arts Centre is going through an exciting period of redevelopment and requires an extraordinary individual for a full time (35hrs) Arts Administrator position to act as first point of contact for the centre.

The applicant will need to have good all around computer skills (Excel, Word, Banklink or similar, electronic banking, etc) . This person will need to be capable of working on their own and as part of a team, know how to multi task and enjoy working with people. The role also requires someone who is physically fit, able to "muck in" and prepared to get their hands dirty if required.

Although not necessary, some knowledge or interest in the arts would be preferred.

It is now home to a number of arts organizations including the Northland Woodturners and Woodworkers Association, the Quarry Craft Co-op, Northland Craft Trust and the Te Kowhai Print Trust. The Quarry’s facilities include a community gallery and a range of studios and spaces for arts activities. There are over 10 working artists with studios on site
