Job description:

The Visual Arts Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality visual arts program, in consultation with the Artistic Director, for Auckland Festival 2011.

The successful applicant will have a significant record of accomplishment in the curatorial and exhibitions field and be knowledgeable and conversant with contemporary visual arts practice. They must have a demonstrated capacity for leadership in the field and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. They may have a higher degree in the visual and fine arts or in a related discipline.

This is a fixed term position commencing in May 2010 and will be structured to include periods of part time and full time commitment, subject to negotiation. The contract finishes on 8 April 2011.
