Publicity Assistant/Writer
SWPR is an independent publicity and marketing company contracting to a range of arts and entertainment clients presenting works throughout New Zealand. The company is run by Sally Woodfield and work ranges from chamber music (including a contract with Chamber Music New Zealand) to festivals (including WOMAD NZ 2010, Tauranga Arts Festival and Going West Books and Writers Festival); theatre (from small children's theatre productions to large touring shows); contemporary music and dance.
SWPR is seeking a part-time contract assistant publicist/administrator to provide support across the range of clients. Hours would average 1.5 days (12 hours) per week, however flexibility is needed. Flexibility in place of work is also an advantage and you will need to have your own laptop and mobile phone. Some travel within New Zealand is likely and a driver's licence is an advantage.
As a highly experienced arts marketer and publicist, Sally Woodfield offers the right person the opportunity to upskill in this area of work.
You will have good written and oral communication skills, knowledge of arts marketing and publicity, and be organised, results-driven and passionate. Internet skills with great social marketing is an advantage.
