Senior Lighting Technician

THE EDGE® is Auckland’s leading performing arts and convention centre, hosting around 1500 performances and conventions each year in our venues which include the Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall and The Civic.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lighting Technician to deliver event related Lighting requirements, to a high level of client satisfaction and as part of a team of skilled Production Department staff.  Working with the Head of Lighting and a large pool of casual staff, this hands on role includes the setup of equipment along with administration and supervision duties.

Ideal applicants will have a “can do” attitude, demonstrate initiative and leadership skills and have the ability to relate and communicate effectively with a diverse range of staff, service providers and clients.  A proven practical understanding and thorough knowledge of the lighting systems and equipment related to major theatrical shows, concerts, conventions, product launches and orchestral concerts is essential.
