Familiy Programme Developer
Auckland Museum Tamaki Paenga Hira welcomes applications from suitably qualified professionals for the position of Family Programme Developer. In this role you will be responsible for the overall development, coordination, management and delivery of family experiences in the Children’s Discovery Centre and other Museum galleries.
Reporting to the Lifelong Learning Manager, applications are invited for the position of Family Programme Developer. In this role you will be responsible for the overall development, coordination, management and delivery of family experiences throughout the Museum. This includes programmes based on permanent galleries, collections, the Children’s Discovery Centre, temporary exhibitions, events and other activities described in the Museum’s current and future Annual Plans.
Relevant tertiary or Early Childhood Education qualification, and/or experience in Museum interpretation, development of exhibitions and/or children’s television programmes, or similar creative environment
• Creative thinking skills and an entrepreneurial spirit, excelling at establishing relationships with colleagues, community stakeholders and allied organisations
• High level of energy, enthusiasm and initiative with the ability to add value to the outputs of multi-disciplinary teams
• Knowledge of Te Whariki Early Childhood Curriculum and/or contemporary learning theory with the ability to translate to a museum environment
• High level written, communication and analytical skills for the preparation and evaluation of proposals and business case analysis
• Demonstrated experience as a team-player and in managing people, resources and projects
Creative thinking skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, excell at establishing relationships with colleagues and others
