Programme manager, event sponsorship With Council as the sponsor, the Programme manager, event sponsorship will work at a strategic level, driving the event sponsorship programme for Auckland events, such as New Zealand Fashion Week, Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and the NZ International Comedy Festival. Be responsible for leading and managing the strategy, working alongside your team to turn strategies into action. With a wealth of experience in negotiating and leveraging sponsorships, you have the ability to develop mutually beneficial relationships through sponsorship. This senior role requires a confident communicator, able to negotiate the majority of our contracts and design innovative leverage campaigns. Leadership experience is essential as you mentor and manage your team. You have the ability to keep your eye on the big picture without losing track of the detail. Attending all the events, you will take ownership of the relationships you create and work with flexibility, commitment and enthusiasm. As a recognised operator in the events arena, you will have existing networks in place and definitely know how to make the right connections. Knowledge of the Auckland event landscape is preferable.
