The School of Music within the National Institute of Creative Arts and Industries is seeking to appoint a Public Programmes Manager. The School of Music is one of the largest of its kind in New Zealand and runs an extensive programme of concerts, workshops and events with staff, students and visiting guest artists. The Public Programmes Manager will have primary responsibility for the development and implementation of a strategically focused, efficient and effective public programme for NICAI's School of Music. Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Public Programmes Manager - Music will manage and market the School's concert programme and develop and maintain key strategic relationships with communities of interest. The position requires significant experience in the areas of marketing and management of events or concerts within a recognized arts organization and/or teaching institution. Completion of a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience is essential. Knowledge of the music industry through study or performance and experience of music in a tertiary education context will be viewed favorably.
