Events Coordinator

Our team of Events Coordinators is part of bringing this vision to life! They are instrumental in the administration, production and management of a number of Wellington’s key events. In this position you will take a leadership role in developing and managing events, marketing and promotional strategies, as well as seeking and managing sponsorship agreements. You will be responsible for account management including the day to day co-ordination of events, road closures and safety during events. To succeed in this challenging but rewarding role you will be a self-starter, capable of managing your own workload. You will also be a person who enjoys regular communication with a wide range of people both internally and externally. Essential competencies for this role include excellent oral and written communication skills and proven success in event marketing, promotion, project management and relationship building. You will have been proactive, worked to tight deadlines and shown yourself to be clear headed under pressure in previous roles. Previous experience in organising and producing community events is essential. The nature of this role requires that you be available to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and evenings.
