Marketing Manager
The New Zealand School of Dance is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s leading dance conservatoires, and prepares classical ballet and contemporary dancers for successful careers all over the globe. The School has a vacancy for the role of Marketing Manager to lead the public relations, communications, events and marketing of this tertiary institution.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for:
- Creating and implementing a marketing strategy that fulfils student recruitment and box office targets
- Liaising with designers, printers and photographers to produce inspiring and dynamic print material
- Maintaining the website and social networking profiles
- Writing the e-newsletter and managing the database
- Managing seamless, successful events
- Administering and building the School’s patronage programme
- Securing sponsorship and funding
- Managing the photographic, ephemera and media archives of the school
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in marketing and/or communications for the arts
- Excellent verbal and written communication, editing and content management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to multiple deadlines
- Ability to show initiative and work without constant supervision
- Demonstrable understanding of social marketing and media communications
- Strategic and creative thinker who can follow through to implementation
- Great sense of humour, an outgoing personality and an ability to relate to a wide variety of people
Arts marketing experience, excellent written and verbal communication, initiative, great sense of humour
