Forest & Bird is New Zealand’s leading, independent, not-for-profit, conservation organisation. It is the voice of nature throughout New Zealand.
 
We are looking for someone special to make that voice heard loud and clear.  Forest & Bird’s Communications Officer is part of a small team of communication professionals and contributes to our world-class magazine, our websites and the overall communications and promotions strategy.
 
To do this we need someone who is a journalist with significant experience in major dailies and or television/radio, publication editing, media relations and promotions.  You will be a superb writer, and able to turn complex issues into easily understood and compelling messages. Experience and interest in an environmental field and politics is an advantage.
 
You will have to work with conservation specialists, passionate volunteers and media contacts to tell the amazing stories of New Zealand’s native plants, creatures and wild places.
