Marketing Manager
Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School is New Zealand’s foremost training establishment for the dramatic arts with well established courses in acting, directing, design, costume construction, performing arts management and entertainment technology. Toi Whakaari is seeking a full time Marketing Manager as our current Marketing Manager is going overseas.
This is an exciting time to join the staff at the national Drama School as we are celebrating our 40th anniversary, have developed a successful new brand and are achieving record numbers of applicants and audience members.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the student recruitment strategy and implementation, marketing and promotion of the School's public performances and events national awareness, public communications and maintenance of the School’s website.
Essential attributes for the position:
- Experience in marketing and communications
- Experience of direct marketing, e-marketing, advertising, print production and distribution
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to multiple deadlines
- Proven ability to show initiative and work without supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Desktop publishing and website editing skills
Preferred attributes:
- Knowledge of the performing arts sector, preferably theatre and/or film
- Awareness of tertiary education issues and strategies for student recruitment
- Knowledge of box office systems and data management
