Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a self-starter with a strong background in media relations. You will also be a good communicator and have sound judgement in dealing with topical issues. Teamwork and the ability to support other areas such as media hosting are important.
Knowledge of the Queenstown region and local tourism businesses would be an advantage as would a qualification in communications.
Destination Queenstown is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year and is one of New Zealand’s founding Regional Tourism Organisations. A small team based in the resort build sustainable demand for Queenstown tourism through innovative marketing. We aim to see Queenstown positioned as the premiere four season lake and alpine resort.
