Senior Media Advisor
The Ministry of Education's Communications Group is seeking a strategic communications practitioner with extensive experience in managing media, risk, and reputation in a high-profile environment.
The role will involve:
- providing media advice and services to our Minister and Associate Ministers
- working with senior management to identify and mitigate media risks
- identifying and facilitating media opportunities
To succeed in this role, you will have advanced writing and relationship skills, and the ability to produce concise, accurate media statements and factsheets. You will have a strong risk awareness and a good understanding of the interface between the political and public sectors. You will be experienced at managing diverse relationships and influencing and working across senior levels of an organisation.
Ideally, you will have substantial media experience in a large and high-profile organisation. An understanding of the education sector would be an additional advantage.
