Job description: 

This key role ensures that the Faculty's PR and marketing activities are coordinated with those of the University. The vision is to recruit students and uphold and enhance the image of the Faculty through promotional event organisation, publications, advertising, website development and internal communications.

We are looking for a clear communicator, excellent writer, completer-finisher and highly self motivated individual. You will be a creative thinker who will utilise a range of PR and marketing channels to achieve your objectives and meet your responsibilities. You might already be involved in PR, might be a journalist looking for a new challenge, or you will have worked as a PR and general marketing practitioner and are looking for a more specialist role. You will be part of a small team in the Dean's office and will also liaise closely with the University's Communications Office, and from time to time will work with staff from all areas of the Faculty. 

A tertiary qualification in PR, marketing or communications is essential to undertake this role, along with creativity, initiative, accuracy and the ability to multi- task. An interest in science would be advantageous. 

Commencing salary is expected to be in the range of $45,000 to $50,000 per year.
