Events Coordinator
To manage, support and take responsibility for the coordination of specific events.
To manage key Massey University events as allocated.
To manage internal/external conferences, seminars, meetings and Fairs/expos.
To assist the Marketing Manager and Liaison in developing recruitment events.
•To be responsible for the coordination, planning and administration of regionally based events as delegated in the annual events plan, ensuring strategic time frames are met.
•To take responsibility for delegated tasks with respect to key events such as graduation ceremonies and examinations, ensuring strategic time frames are met.
To take responsibility for booking and organising facilities, print and media advertising for events (where required).
•To liaise with Massey University internal departments e.g. NSATS, Regional Facilities Management, Information Technology Services, external suppliers of products and services as required for events.
•To have an understanding of the organising and planning involved in all other Events Management activities.
•To assist with any other event coordination duties related to the Events Management functions as requested by the Event Manager.
•To develop and maintain records, systems and budgets relating to specific events and activities.
•To assist with other or additional duties as may be required as a result of new unplanned events, or changing priorities or additional responsibilities placed on the Events Management unit, in consultation with the Events Manager.
•Provide detailed reports on all delegated events/tasks as required by the Events Manager on or before due date.
