We have embarked on a large programme of work to transform TVNZ to a digital infrastructure. At the foundation of this project and fundamental to its successful implementation, are our people. We are looking for an energetic person to join our newly appointed team of Media Managers who will be responsible for leading our people as we transform the way we work.

The team of Media Managers are responsible for managing the day to day operational requirements of our Media Operations department, incorporating functions such as media handling, programme censorship, QA, QC, playout, edit and MCR, and ensuring transmission is carried out to the highest standards. 

The complexity of this multi-functional role across a range of areas will mean the successful candidate will be a capable people manager with a breadth of experience in complex broadcast environments and digital infrastructure.

We are seeking technically savvy individuals who have the ability to problem solve under pressure, and continually identify process and workflow improvements that will ensure the quality and efficiency of TVNZ’s broadcast operations. 

You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organisation. Sound business acumen and a willingness to take accountability and understand the impact of your decisions are also important.
