Art Gallery Educator (Maori Focus)
We have an opportunity for an Art Gallery Educator (Maori Focus) to join our expanding team based in the heart of the city at Christchurch Art Gallery.
Reporting to the Education and Public Programmes Team Leader, the Art Gallery Educator will have primary responsibility for liaison with schools and the development and delivery of high quality programmes and resources for school groups visiting Christchurch Art Gallery, making it an outstanding education destination.
We are looking for qualified teachers with experience in New Zealand schools who are thoroughly familiar with the principles and application of the NZ curriculum framework in essential learning areas, in particular, arts, social sciences, and languages. In addition to the above the ideal applicant will also to be able to develop and present a Mâori focus within these programmes.
This position will continue to develop our school audiences by presenting exciting and innovative art programmes that focus on the exhibitions and collections of Christchurch Art Gallery.
