Job description: 

Secondment or fixed term employment for six months to cover the strategy development phase of the project. The Ministry will review/determine its communication/marketing needs for the implementation phase as the development phase nears completion.

The Ministry for Culture and Heritage is seeking an experienced marketing and communications specialist to develop the strategy for a national public awareness campaign for New Zealand’s switchover to digital television.

This is a unique opportunity to work at a high level in government with the Ministry for Culture and Heritage’s expert broadcasting team on a nationally significant project.

You will have experience in managing public awareness campaigns in a government environment, building and maintaining stakeholder and community relationships, finding innovative approaches to achieve value for money, and have the ability to make complex, technical messages simple.
