Gusto is a brand communications company offering services in design, interactive media and print. We are looking for a Production Manager who is competent in both artwork production and print management.
The role will involve artworking files in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, liaising with vendors (printers, print finishers, paper suppliers etc) to ensure printed products are produced to best quality, quickest turnaround and best value for our clients.
You will possess:
- a proven track record of around 10 years in pre-press or print management
- a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, create timelines, generate quotes, adhere to tight deadlines and stay within budget
- an ability to set up quality control systems, review files and oversee artwork of senior designers to ensure artwork quality and accuracy for print
- a demonstrable understanding of all stages of rip, pre press, print finishing, packaging, digital and offset printing
- a sound knowledge of colour correction procedures and techniques
- a solid understand of the English language to proofread projects for correct grammar and spelling
- a meticulous eye for detail
- advanced artworking and pre-press knowledge in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- proven ability in vendor negotiations, print buying, cost control and logistical coordination
